  Another Rail Baron® Map

Rail Baron - Southeast board game

Find your top hat,
and become a baron!

Rail Baron® - Southeast transports you back to the 1890s Southeastern US when post-Civil War railroad overbuilding has precipitated bank failures. The region's giant railroad companies are only beginning to take shape. You'll find the predecessors of the Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Air Line, Southern Railroad and others, but also many smaller railroads that must merge to survive. In the economic panic, many are available at a discount price, but can you assemble them into a network worthy of a winning railroad baron?

How Rail Baron - Southeast compares:

    computer screen shot
  • 37 historically-based railroads, 1 is public (usable by all players)
  • quicker play with more player interaction
  • via computer-based development, the available railroads are balanced for usefulness and pricing
  • skill is better rewarded than luck
  • player bankruptcy/elimination far less likely
  • lookup charts are clearer and easier to use
  • full-color railroad deeds with map
  • also available for play on computer via RBP
